Steve Downing

President and Chief Executive Officer
Steve Downing joined Gentex in 2002 as a financial analyst, and moved on to senior financial analyst and then served in various roles in commercial management including Director of Commercial Management until his promotion in 2012 to Vice President of Commercial Management. He was responsible for overseeing cost accounting, quotation development, forecasting, strategic partnerships, and new business development. In May 2013, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance while maintaining responsibility for all commercial management activities. In June 2015, Steve was promoted to Senior Vice President with added responsibility for the Company’s business development and sales function. In August of 2017, Steve was promoted to President, Chief Operating Officer, Interim Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer. On January 1, 2018, Steve was promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Gentex, Downing worked for a private company executing activity-based costing, price modeling and control, and financial statement consolidation. He is a native of Ohio and graduated summa cum laude from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
Kevin Nash

Chief Financial Officer, CAO, Vice President of Finance, and Treasurer

Kevin Nash joined Gentex in 1999 as a Senior Accountant and has held various positions at Gentex with increased responsibilities including Accounting Manager, Corporate Controller and Director of Accounting. In 2018, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance, and Treasurer. Mr. Nash is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Gentex’s Accounting functions including SEC reporting, Corporate Governance, Board Reporting, General Accounting, Accounts Payables and Receivables, International Accounting and Fixed Assets, as well as Payroll, Budgeting and long term financial planning. In June 2014, he was promoted to Vice President of Accounting. Prior to joining Gentex, Nash worked for ODL Incorporated as a Senior Accountant primarily focused on General Accounting, Fixed Assets and Accounts Receivable. Mr. Nash holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Hope College and became a Certified Management Accountant in 2006.

Neil Boehm

Chief Operations Officer and Chief Technology Officer

Neil Boehm joined Gentex in 2001 as a program manager and has served in various roles with increased responsibilities in product development and engineering, including Vice President of Engineering. In 2018, Neil was promoted to Chief Technology Officer, where he has been central to the development of the company’s expanding product and technology portfolio. In 2025, he was promoted to Chief Operations Officer to better align Gentex’s operational excellence with its focus on technology adoption and deployment. Prior to joining Gentex, Boehm worked for Johnson Controls, Inc. where he served as an engineering manager. During his time there he developed vast experience with international customers including an expatriate assignment in Japan. He is a native of Wisconsin and graduated summa cum laude from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Chief Sales Officer and Senior Vice President of Sales
Matt Chiodo joined Gentex in 2001 as a sales director, and has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility at Gentex over his tenure. In his current role as Chief Sales Officer and Senior Vice President of Sales, Matt oversees Gentex’s Automotive sales teams working with our global OEMs and tier two customers while supporting our Accessory, Aftermarket, and business development teams. Matt is also responsible for assisting in the creation, development, and management of many of our partner relationships and their associated products. Prior to Gentex, Matt served as a Platform Director at Prince Corporation (a manufacturer of automotive interior parts that was acquired by Johnson Controls in 1996). He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Finance Major from Hillsdale College.
Scott Ryan

Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Sustainability Officer
Scott Ryan joined Gentex in 2010, but started working as an outside consultant for the company in 2006. He has extensive knowledge and experience with the Company in intellectual property and general legal matters. He has supported Gentex in varying positions with increasing responsibility during his employment. He was promoted to Corporate Secretary in June of 2015, and Vice President and General Counsel in 2018. Prior to joining Gentex, Ryan worked as a law clerk for a State of Michigan circuit judge and with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Association of Michigan in Genesee County. Mr. Ryan also served at a Detroit area law firm working in its litigation group. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and obtained his JD from Michigan State University.                 
 
Brad Bosma

Vice President of Products
Brad Bosma began his career at Gentex in 1990 as a Mechanical Design Engineer. He has held positions with increasing responsibility for the past 30 years, including roles in Engineering, Program Management, Sales, Product, and Business Development. In 2023, Brad was promoted to Vice President of Products. In this role, Brad is responsible for managing the teams that define and develop new Gentex products and platforms. These teams include Product Line Management, Studio, Advanced Prototype, Advanced Engineering, and Advanced Project Management. A native of Alberta, Canada, Brad has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Vice President of Information Technology and Information Security Officer
Cliff Burgess joined Gentex in 2012 as the Director of Information Technology, and was promoted to Sr. Director in 2017, before being promoted to Vice President of Information and Technology in 2022. In these roles, he has been responsible for the growth and development of the IT department, along with the incorporation and launch of enterprise applications, critical infrastructure support and information security. Prior to Gentex, Cliff worked at Oracle Corporation, where he led the solution consulting teams for various business applications. Prior to joining Oracle, Cliff was the European IT Manager for The Lincoln Electric Company following his efforts in the Company’s Global Audit and Accounting Team. Prior to that, Cliff was a CPA in public accounting, having graduated with honors from Bowling Green State University with a BSBA in Accounting­.
Seth Bushouse - Gentex Vice President of Human Resources
Seth Bushouse
Vice President of Human Resources
Seth started at Gentex in 2007 as a human resources site representative in one of the Gentex manufacturing facilities supporting the production teams. Over the next 10 years, Seth held positions of increasing responsibility and scope, working with Gentex’s corporate teams on recruiting, retention, and the development and growth of our teams overseas. From 2017 through 2018, Seth served as Vice President of Human Resources at two other manufacturing companies, before returning to Gentex in 2018 to serve as Senior Director of HR. Since 2018, Seth has assembled and led the team that provided the support and expertise required to help Gentex through the challenges of COVID, and the resulting supply chain challenges, and helped bolster our corporate reputation as one of the top employers in the area. In his current role, Seth leads the full Human Resources team which includes Recruiting, Corporate Training, Benefits, Employee Relations, and HRIS. Prior to Gentex, Seth worked at Johnson Controls, where he served as an Operations Manager and then an Account Finance Manager before moving into Human Resources. He has a bachelor’s degree from Calvin University, where he double majored in Psychology and English.
Rosa Estrada

Vice President of Accounting and Corporate Controller

Rosa joined Gentex in 2002 as a second-shift production employee in final assembly, just one year after moving from Mexico. Since that time, she has built her career from the ground up, serving on the accounting team in roles of increasing responsibility, including leading company-wide budgeting and forecasting, capital planning, and compensation modeling. In recent years, she has been heavily involved in Gentex M&A execution and integration. In her role as Vice President, Rosa oversees all core accounting functions, including financial reporting, audit, treasury, cost accounting, fixed assets, payroll, payables and receivables, equity compensation, and travel and expense management. She earned her MBA from Grand Valley State University.‌

Paul Flynn

Vice President of Operations
Paul Flynn is a native of Boston, Massachusetts. He has a Bachelor of science degree in Manufacturing Engineering and an MBA in Design Management, both from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Prior to joining Gentex in 1996, Paul held various engineering and management positions at Unitrode Corporation, Teledyne Components Incorporated, and Analogic Corporation. He is responsible for providing direction and structure for Gentex’s manufacturing operations. Paul is a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and Design West Michigan.                 
 
David Goodyke

Vice President of Sales

David Goodyke joined Gentex in 2015 as a Sales Director, and in his current role is responsible for sales to our OEM customers headquartered in Japan, Korea, India and China. David has more than 30 years of experience working with global OEM customers in Japan, Korea, China and India, including living in Japan for 2 years, supporting multiple customers in Japan and Korea along with various business operations in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to Gentex, David worked on commercial and business development for full seating systems, interiors and electronics at Prince Corporation, Johnson Controls and Visteon. He attended Davenport University and the Lubar School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Dave Hiemstra - Gentex Vice President of Engineering

Vice President of Engineering and Program Management

Dave joined Gentex in 2019 as Director of Program Management for Asia, and was promoted in 2023 to Vice President of Engineering. In this role, Dave is responsible for overseeing the continued diversification of Gentex’s products and technologies, while managing the engineering teams that support this growth. Specifically, Dave manages Gentex’s Software and Hardware Development teams, Mechanical and Systems Engineering teams, and the Project Engineering team. Prior to Gentex, Dave completed nearly 30 years of global experience working with Innotec and JCI/Prince, working in different roles including engineering leadership, technical sales, business development, operational leadership, and program management. Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech and a master’s degree in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

Brian Lorence joined Gentex in 2001 as an Integrated Engineering Manager, and has held positions of increasing responsibility at Gentex. Prior to Gentex, Brian served as Program Engineering and Group Manager at General Motors. In his role as Vice President of Sales, Brian will continue his focus on US-based OEMs, while supporting our new business growth. He holds multiple patents, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Lawrence Technological University.

Joe Matthews

Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Joe Matthews joined Gentex in 2010 as a Purchasing Manager, and worked in positions of increasing responsibility before serving as Gentex’s Vice President of Purchasing from 2014 through 2021. In 2018, he was appointed as Gentex's first Diversity Officer, and took on the responsibility of developing and implementing Gentex’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives. Since 2018, Joe’s efforts have helped Gentex gain recognition as a world-class employer, and he won numerous awards for his work at Gentex and in the community. In recognition of the importance of this role at Gentex, and to support the continued growth of DE&I’s impact and scale at Gentex, Joe stepped fully into the newly created role of Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the start of 2022. In this role, Joe is responsible for the continued development and focus of Gentex’s DE&I initiatives, serving as our representative in the community and driving meaningful change at Gentex.

Joe is a native of Gary, Indiana. He started his career at Delphi in Kokomo, Indiana in 1991. Joe’s experiences there include IC design, operations, manufacturing engineering, and roles of increasing responsibility in supply management. In 2003, Joe became part of the sourcing leadership for Whirlpool Corporation in Michigan. In addition, he held leadership positions for the pre-integration sourcing planning for the Maytag acquisition, Indirect, and Supply Chain. In 2009, Joe worked for Management Engineers (now PwC Strategy&) to expand their presence into the United States. Joe graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. In addition, he has a Master of Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, and a Master of Business Administration both cum laude from Cornell University.

Angela Nadeau

Vice President of Commercial Management
Angela Nadeau joined Gentex in 2006 as a financial analyst and since then has served in various roles in commercial management including Director of Commercial Management and Commercial Manager for our European business. As Vice President of Commercial Management, she is responsible for overseeing product costing, quotation development, price management, and long-term agreements. Prior to joining Gentex, Angela held various supply chain management roles in her 7 years at Johnson Controls and 5 years at Eagle Ottawa/Lear Corporation. In addition to her automotive experience, she spent 7 years at Kirsch/Hunter Douglas in Sturgis, MI where she gained experience in purchasing, cost accounting, and customer service. Angela is a graduate of Davenport University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Josh O’Berski
Vice President of Investor Relations

Josh joined Gentex in 2012 as a marketing manager, working to support our sales teams, corporate communications initiatives, and web presence. He worked alongside our investor relations team before becoming the Investor Relations Manager in 2014. He was promoted to Director of Investor Relations in 2018. In his time at Gentex, he has been instrumental in strengthening the company’s relationships with investors, analysts, and stakeholders. He has helped shape the public conversation around Gentex, ensuring transparency and fostering confidence in Gentex’s long-term vision by managing our quarterly calls, annual reports, sustainability reporting, and shareholder meetings. In addition to his work on our IR team, Josh serves as the executive sponsor for our Emerging Professionals Business Resource Group. Josh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Communications from Calvin University.

Randy Pappal - Gentex Corporation

Vice President of Purchasing and Supply Chain

Randy previously worked at Shape Corporation where he served as the Vice President and General Manager of Shape Asia. He also served as Vice President of Purchasing and Supply Chain for Shape Corporation. Prior to working at Shape, Randy worked for General Motors in various positions of increasing responsibility in purchasing and Supply Chain. His last position at GM from 2010-2018 was the Executive Director of Body/Exterior Purchasing. Throughout his GM career, Randy has worked and lived in 7 countries: U.S., Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Randy has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.

Craig joined Gentex in 1997 as a marketing manager, and served in various positions before being promoted to Vice President in 2021. Craig oversees Gentex’s advertising, branding, product research, sales tool development, public relations, event management, social media, internal communications, and often serves as our corporate spokesperson. Craig’s long history with the company, appreciation for Gentex’s unique corporate culture, love of technology, and ability to communicate complex subject matter have been instrumental in the evolution of Gentex from automotive supplier to technology company. Prior to joining Gentex, Craig worked at Haworth, where he managed showroom design, public relations, and marketing communications. He has also worked at Seyferth PR, and served as an adjunct professor of public relations writing at Grand Valley State University. Craig received his bachelor’s degree from Hope College, where he majored in Business Administration and Communications.
Robert Steel - Gentex VP of Sales - Europe

Vice President of Sales – Europe

Robert Steel worked alongside Gentex’s European sales force as a consultant for several years before joining the company formally in 1999. He’s been a key member of our European team, managing relationships with several European OEMs and working to establish, support, and manage our offices in the UK, France, and Sweden. He’s also been an active member of our business development team and was a leading member in the acquisition of Guardian Optical Technologies. Currently, Robert serves on the divisional boards for our European entities and manages the offices and sales forces across the region. Before becoming Vice President of Sales for Europe, he led our growth with Jaguar Land Rover, Bentley, Aston Martin, and our European tier-one customers. He has extensive experience with other European customers, having previously held sales roles with Ford Europe, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Volvo, Renault, PSA, and Porsche. Before joining Gentex, Robert studied business at Coventry College, ran two sales agencies, and established his own successful consultancy business.

Robert Vance joined Gentex in 2018 as Vice President of New Markets. He is responsible for the strategic development of new markets, technologies, and partnerships that can grow to provide a secure and substantial future for Gentex’s products and team. Prior to this role, Robert served as Vice President of Innotec Corporation’s Strategic Development team, where he focused on growing Innotec’s technologies, industries, business models, and partnerships. From 2005-2011, Robert served as Gentex Corporation’s Vice President of Business Development for Japanese Automakers. Prior to that, he worked at Johnson Controls for over a decade, serving in various positions in Finance, Operations, Business Management and Executive Leadership. Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Hope College with a focus on Finance and Foreign Languages, and completed his graduate studies at Meiji Gakuin University in Japan.
