Management Team

Sue Franz joined Gentex in 1997 as an Analytical Chemist, and worked in various positions at Gentex with increased responsibilities, including Group Leader of Analytical Chemistry, Director of Analytical Chemistry, Senior Director of Chemistry, Vice President of Chemistry and Vice President of Chemical Technologies. In her current role, Sue supports the business and product teams in the evaluation of new technologies and companies by providing technical input from a chemistry perspective. Prior to working at Gentex, Sue was an Applications Lab Manager at a spectrometer manufacturer supporting sales and marketing. Sue received her Bachelors and Master’s degrees in Analytical Chemistry from Jilin University and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Villanova University. She also earned her Master’s degree in Management from Aquinas College and Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Villanova University. In addition to her role, Sue serves on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion council at Gentex and various boards of non-profit organizations in the community.
